Dreyma Mitts
These Icelandic mittens are knit in the round with your choice of small-circumference knitting needles. Designed by Jenn Steingass (in conjunction with the Dreyma Pullover) for Tolt Yarn and Wool’s Icelandic Wool Month. Knit these up with Ístex Léttlopi as we did and you’ll have a pair of mittens that will keep your hands toasty warm on even the coldest days.

Mitten length: 8.75 (9.5, 11) in / 22 (24, 28) cm
Hand circumference: 7 (8.25, 9.75) in / 18 (21, 24.5) cm
Cuff length: 2 (2, 3) in / 5 (5, 7.5) cm

100 m per 50g skein).
MC: #0005 Black Heather; 2 (2, 2) skeins.
CC1: #0056 Ash Heather; 1 (1, 1) skein.
CC2: #0054 Light Ash Heather; 1 (1, 1) skein.
CC3: #0051 White; 1 (1, 1) skein.
YARN
Aran weight yarn in the following amounts:
MC: 131 (142, 153) yd / 120 (130, 140 ) m
CC1: Allow for 25 yd / 23 m

NEEDLES
Note: Needle sizes are recommendations only; always use needle size necessary to achieve given gauge.
Needle A: US #3 / 3.25 mm double-pointed needles, 32 in / 80
cm circular needle for magic loop method, or 2 circular needles; use preferred small-circumference method.
Needle B: US #4 / 3.5 mm double-pointed needles, 32 in / 80 cm
circular needle for magic loop method, or 2 circular needles; use preferred small-circumference method.
GAUGE
23 sts / 30 rounds = 4 in / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch in
the round with Size B needle after blocking.
NOTIONS
Two different (unique) stitch markers, tapestry needle,
stitch holder or waste yarn.
