Silver Forest is a lightweight circular yoke sweater with a relaxed, comfortable fit. Knit up with Brooklyn Tweed Loft, this sweater is light as a feather and next to skin soft. With the light fabric fingering weight yarn creates, you can wear your Silver Forest often - indoors, layered in the winter, as an outer layer in the spring or even on chilly summer nights like we have here in Maine. Silver Forest is casual enough to throw on with a pair of jeans yet nice enough to wear to a special occasion. This design lends itself well to a variety of yarns: wooly fingering weights or handdyed yarns with a nice drape are a great match for this pattern.

Construction:
This seamless, circular yoke sweater is knit in the round and is a top down hybrid. Designed to have a relaxed fit with 2-5” of positive ease at bust. You can choose between 3 options for body shaping: Subtle hourglass shaping, straight body, or a-line, and there are 2 options for neckline styles: ribbed or rolled neckline. The knitting starts with a provisional cast on with waste yarn using a simple long tail cast on. No additional skills are needed for this method (called COWYAK) and the transition between the directions in knitting is completely invisible. The stranded yoke is worked and then the neckline is bound off. Next, the body and sleeves are worked top down from. With this method of construction, the sweater has live stitches at the neckline and edges of the body and sleeve cuffs. This makes for easy customization of body and sleeve lengths and neckline width.

This pattern is available in English and Norwegian. You will receive all versions with your purchase.
